Scholarships at Ursinus College

NSF-funded S-STEM program providing up to fifteen thousand dollars of unmet need per year to full-time residential Ursinus students majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology, biology, chemistry, computer science, neuroscience, physics, or pre-engineering. Pell-eligible students who meet NSF citizenship or residency requirements join a faculty-mentored cohort with interdisciplinary research and experiential learning support. Applicants apply to Ursinus by March 13 and complete the online PERSIST application by March 15, with virtual finalist interviews held later in spring.

Holistic scholarship program selecting fifteen incoming first-year Abele Scholars each year who combine academic potential, financial need, and community leadership. U.S. citizens from any state or Washington D.C. with an expected SAI of forty thousand dollars or less receive a ten-thousand-dollar annual scholarship on top of merit aid, plus startup funds, enrichment funds, loan forgiveness, and dedicated advising. Applicants apply to Ursinus by December 13, complete a supplemental application by January 15, and interview on campus in mid-February if selected as finalists.

One-time five-hundred-dollar award for students referred to Ursinus College through the Alumni Referral Program. An Ursinus alumnus completes a short referral form recommending a prospective student, and if that student applies and is admitted after the referral submission, they receive this scholarship in addition to any merit aid. The program helps connect prospective students with the Ursinus community. Athletics ability and performance may not be considered in awarding this or any Ursinus financial aid per NCAA Division III regulations.

Full-tuition scholarship for one incoming first-year residential student demonstrating outstanding artistry in dance, music, theater, visual art, design technology, graphic design, art history, or related creative fields. Applicants submit a resume, essay responding to a published prompt, and a portfolio or audition recording by January 15. Faculty review materials and invite finalists for on-campus interviews, auditions, or portfolio reviews. Recipients must remain actively involved in Ursinus arts programs, maintain full-time enrollment, and keep a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. This award replaces any other Ursinus merit scholarship.

Named for Ursinus's first president, this full-tuition leadership scholarship is the college's highest academic honor beyond standard merit tiers. Only Zacharias Scholarship recipients who apply as first-year, full-time residential students are invited to apply after admission. Invited students submit an application with essays and a resume by January 15, and finalists interview on campus in February. Recipients join a distinguished campus leadership network. Renewal requires satisfactory academic progress, full-time enrollment, and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
