Scholarships at Stevenson University

The Service Scholarship supports incoming freshmen selected for Stevenson University's Service Scholars Program, which extends civic engagement, reflection on social change, and workforce-ready skills through service-learning coursework and co-curricular activities. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional commitment to service, hold a minimum 3.3 GPA, apply by January 15, complete the Service Scholars application, finish a campus tour by February 7, and complete a Specialty Scholarship Interview. Recipients receive $2,000 per year for four years plus the $2,000 Founders' Scholarship. Scholars complete service-learning courses and at least 40 documented service hours per academic year.

The Mock Trial Scholarship supports freshman applicants interested in joining Stevenson's nationally recognized Mock Trial team. Students submit a Mock Trial Scholarship application by January 15; fall transfer applicants may apply by March 1. Finalists are invited to an on-campus audition and interview day in the spring and are also considered for team membership. Awards are $2,000 per year, renewable for four years of attendance, and may be combined with other Stevenson merit-based scholarships. Mock Trial develops public speaking, trial procedure, teamwork, and advocacy skills through American Mock Trial Association competition.

The Theatre Performance Scholarship at Stevenson University is for applicants who will major in Theatre and Media Performance and commit to auditioning for every production. Recipients receive $2,000 per year, renewable for up to four years, and may not also receive the Theatre Involvement Scholarship. Applicants submit the Theatre and Media Performance Scholarship application by March 15, complete a virtual interview, and, if selected as finalists, perform a one- to two-minute contemporary monologue with faculty coaching. Recipients must audition for each production and fulfill semester involvement requirements. Awards may be combined with other Stevenson merit-based scholarships.

Stevenson University offers Color Guard and Dance Line Scholarships for students who participate in the university marching band program's color guard or dance line during the fall semester. Awards are $650 per year for fall-semester participation only and renew for four years when recipients remain active in their respective program. Incoming freshmen and transfer students apply through the band scholarship application and complete a virtual interview with the Director of Music and Bands. Recipients must attend all performances, class rehearsals, and August Band Camp. Membership is open to all Stevenson students, including non-music majors.

The Transfer Fellowship at Stevenson University honors incoming transfer students who demonstrate bold leadership, dedication to community, and ambitious academic achievement with potential to enrich the university. Established in recognition of former president Dr. Kevin J. Manning, fellows receive a full-tuition scholarship renewable for four years when living on campus plus invitations to personal and intellectual growth activities. Applicants submit a complete admission application and Transfer Fellowship application by March 31 for fall or October 31 for spring; finalists interview on campus. The fellowship cannot be combined with other Stevenson awards and excludes second bachelor's, F-1, and Stevenson Online students.
