Scholarships at Stephens College

The Stephens College Leadership Fellows Program is a selective, scholarship-supported living-learning community for first-time, first-year Women's College students ready to lead from day one. Fellows receive an annual award of $2,000 to $5,000, additive to other merit or need-based aid up to tuition and fees, and participate in leadership retreats, mentorship, service projects, and a dedicated residence community. Applicants must enroll full-time, maintain at least a 3.25 GPA, and submit a resume, leadership essay, and recommendation letter to admissions@stephens.edu after applying for admission. The cohort accepts roughly 10 to 12 students in the pilot year, with renewal tied to active leadership participation each semester.

The GSEM Leadership Scholarship awards up to two renewable $5,000 scholarships annually to Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri members who exemplify leadership and plan to develop further at Stephens College. Recipients are automatically enrolled in the Leadership Fellows Program and must enroll full-time with at least a 3.7 high school GPA. Applicants submit a resume, leadership essay, and recommendation from a Girl Scout leader to admissions@stephens.edu after completing the Stephens admission application. Students may receive only one GSEM scholarship, and the award may stack with other merit aid up to the cost of tuition and fees.

The Stephens Scholars Honors Scholarship provides a renewable $1,000 annual award to incoming first-time-in-college students invited to join Stephens Scholars, the college's selective honors program founded in 1960. Scholars enroll in discussion-based honors seminars, receive faculty mentoring, and participate in career-exploration trips and community events. Eligibility for invitation requires at least a 3.5 high school GPA and an ACT composite of 25 or higher or SAT composite of 1220 or higher. All Stephens Scholars participants remain eligible for additional endowed scholarships beyond the base honors award, and program completion is recorded on the academic transcript with commencement recognition.
