Scholarships at St. Mary's University

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship at St. Mary's University provides $13,750 annually for up to three years to juniors and seniors in STEM-with-teacher-certification programs. Eligible majors include Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Mathematics with teacher certification. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents with at least 60 credit hours, six completed STEM courses, a 2.8 overall GPA, and a 2.6 GPA in STEM courses. Selected scholars commit to two years of K-12 STEM teaching in a high-need public school district for each year of scholarship support. Applications open in the spring of sophomore year and require unofficial transcripts, two letters of recommendation including one from STEM faculty, and a personal statement.

The St. Louis Scholars Award at St. Mary's University provides a $5,000 annual stackable scholarship for four years to first-time entering freshmen from the greater St. Louis region, with preference for students at Catholic high schools interested in a Catholic, Marianist university. Freshmen enroll in BA 1301 or BA 1302; after the first year, scholars must work approximately 170 hours per semester through internships, campus employment, or approved experiential roles. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment of at least 12 credits. Applications and a financial aid application are due April 2, 2026, with decisions by April 15. Preference is given to eligible minority first-generation students who qualify for the federal Pell Grant.

The Emerging Entrepreneurs Program Scholarship at St. Mary's University provides $1,500 per semester for up to eight semesters to students in the Management major with an Entrepreneurship and Innovation track. Participants attend the Forum on Entrepreneurship Series, entrepreneurship conferences, workshops, and mentoring through the Meadows Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Admission is by invitation only after acceptance to St. Mary's as a declared Management major in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation track; minors are not eligible. The Alumni Association Scholarship for Current Undergraduate Students at St. Mary's University supports enrolled undergraduates who have completed 45 credit hours, declared a major, and maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicants must be full-time students taking at least 12 credits each semester during the award year and submit an application form with an unofficial transcript. Funds are raised through alumni events including Fiesta Oyster Bake and the Oysters and Pearls Scholarship Gala. The application deadline is February 27 at 5 p.m. CT, with recipients notified by July 1. Alumni Association and university gift aid combined may not exceed tuition cost. Submitting an application places students in consideration but does not guarantee funding.

Theatre Scholarships at St. Mary's University support Drama minors and students planning to participate in StMU Theatre productions, including performers, designers, and technicians from any major. Auditions for Fall 2026 are by appointment after submitting the Register to Audition form, with dates including March 21 and April 18, 2026. Performers present two contrasting monologues or a monologue and song; designers submit a portfolio or physical work samples.
