Scholarships at University of the Pacific

The Engineering Innovation Scholars Program at University of the Pacific provides a fifteen-thousand-dollar annual scholarship renewable for up to four years, two paid summer internships with industry partners, and one-on-one mentorship from a professional engineer. Incoming first-year students admitted to civil engineering or engineering management who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, nationals, or admitted refugees and qualify for a Federal Pell Grant may apply. Applicants select the scholarship option when applying to Pacific's engineering programs and complete required essay questions. The application deadline is January 15. The Paul Winters Forensics Scholarship at University of the Pacific is a named speech and debate award honoring longtime forensics director Paul Winters, who retired in 1989. One Paul Winters Forensics Scholarship is awarded each year to an outstanding incoming or continuing member of the Pacific Speech and Debate Team, alongside additional Forensic Scholarships for other team members. Applicants should have competitive forensics experience and submit materials through the forensics scholarship process, generally by February 15. Decisions are made by the Director of Forensics with input from recent alumni. The award applies to tuition and renews for team members meeting program standards.

The Abbott Fund Scholars Program at University of the Pacific supports graduate students in clinical nutrition, entry-level nursing, and social work who live or work in the greater Stockton area and commit to diabetes care careers in Stockton after graduation. Qualifying students receive a scholarship covering up to fifty percent of tuition for their eligible Pacific program. Recipients complete diabetes-focused coursework, clinical experiences in Stockton, and agree to work in Stockton for at least two years after graduation. Application procedures vary by program; nursing and nutrition applicants receive email invitations after program interviews, while MSW students apply upon admission.
