Scholarships at Oklahoma Christian University

New students pursuing a degree through Oklahoma Christian University's College of Biblical Studies (preaching, Bible, ministry, vocational ministry, and related majors) may apply via the New Student Scholarship Application on the sponsor page. Scholarships are available up to $10,000. The number of awards varies. For additional need-based funds, write a 600 to 800 word essay to Marlene Williams at marlene.williams@oc.edu explaining why you should receive additional support. Generous donors fund scholarships for students majoring in biblical studies at this Church of Christ-affiliated university.

The McBride Scholars Program provides annual scholarships to outstanding Oklahoma Christian undergraduates in the University Fellows Honors cohort who embody Christian university life through academic success, financial need, and leadership skills. The Department of Language and Literature chair selects recipients in cooperation with Financial Services. Individual awards in recent cycles ranged from one thousand to five thousand dollars stacked atop other OC financial aid. The program also supports the McBride Lecture for Faith and Literature. The Loyd Scholarship recognizes two incoming Oklahoma Christian freshmen each year with four thousand dollar awards for demonstrated aptitude in mechanical engineering, integrity, leadership among peers, and community influence through faith. Applicants must complete the OC admission application, earn an ACT score of 25 or higher, and hold a 3.0 high school GPA. Apply through the dedicated Loyd Scholarship application linked from the engineering scholarships page. Scholarships are awarded by April 7 with an application deadline of March 7, 2027, for the listed cycle.

The Economics Club of Oklahoma Scholarship awards two thousand dollars to a senior Oklahoma Christian University student enrolled in the business program excluding accounting majors. Recipients must demonstrate good character and involvement in Business program activities outside the classroom while maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA. Apply through the college business scholarship application with a March 1 priority deadline. This one-time award may be reapplied for in multiple years if eligibility is maintained. The scholarship connects OC business seniors with the Economics Club of Oklahoma's professional community.

The Rebecca Stafford Endowed Scholarship honors a former Oklahoma Christian nursing student and supports full-time students enrolled in OC's nursing program. Named in memory of Rebecca Stafford, who died of cancer in 2012, the award helps students called to nursing service at OC. Interested nursing students should ask their academic advisor about application procedures for departmental endowed funds. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time OC nursing students. Award amounts are determined by the nursing program and financial services office based on endowed fund availability each cycle.

The OC Northwest Endowment Scholarship uses endowed assets from the former Cascade College region to support prospective or current Oklahoma Christian students from the Pacific Northwest traditionally served by Cascade College. After completing the Northwest Scholarship Application, Financial Services reviews eligibility and awards scholarships around the first of each month starting in February. All applicants must also file the FAFSA including OC school code 003165. The priority deadline is February 15; later applications have reduced award probability because funds are limited.
