Scholarships at The Ohio State University

The Honda - Ohio State Scholarship supports Ohio residents interested in careers at Honda or in the automotive industry who show outstanding academic performance and potential in science, technology, engineering, business, and mathematics. Up to thirty renewable three thousand dollar scholarships are awarded each year to eligible students. Applicants must complete the Honda - Ohio State Scholarship Application on Scholarship Universe and submit the FAFSA. The College of Engineering general scholarship application opens December 1 with a February 1 priority deadline on Scholarship Universe for related engineering awards.

The Barbara Berger Endowed Scholarship honors 1969 nursing alumna Barbara Berger and supports College of Nursing students at Ohio State who demonstrate financial need and meet GPA requirements. Established by Barbara and Larry Berger, the award helps incoming or current nursing students who may struggle to afford a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing education. Students apply through the College of Nursing Scholarship Application on Scholarship Universe. Need-based awards require FAFSA completion by the college priority deadline. Preference goes to degree-seeking students continuously enrolled full time in a College of Nursing degree-granting program.

The Edward S. Beanie Drake Student Leader Endowment Fund, established in 1950, is the only student-administered scholarship at Ohio State. It provides funds so deserving students can participate in campus activities when financial need might otherwise prevent involvement. The fund is maintained by contributions from students, student organizations, and alumni, and recipients are chosen through an application and interview process managed by a student board of directors.
