Scholarships at Northwestern Health Sciences University

The Standard Process Chiropractic Scholarship recognizes NWHSU chiropractic students who demonstrate excellence through outstanding initiative, impact of work, and community involvement, with the goal of motivating others to serve their communities, Northwestern, and the healthcare profession. Standard Process Inc. funds one five thousand dollar scholarship in honor of Daniel-Jean McDonald of Infinite Wellness Natural Healing Center in Albertville, Minnesota. NWHSU selects recipients from competitive donor scholarship applications submitted each term with essays and supporting materials. Incoming students must be accepted by the application deadline for their start term, and total scholarships plus tuition remission cannot exceed one hundred percent of tuition.

The NWHSU Military Spouse and Child Scholarship awards a fifteen percent tuition discount each trimester to spouses or children of qualified U.S. military service members enrolled in eligible NWHSU academic programs. The service member must be a veteran with honorable discharge, active duty, or active Reserve or National Guard, verified with DD214 or current military ID of the spouse or parent. The child does not need to be a dependent for eligibility. Applicants complete the Military Spouse and Child Scholarship Form. Students eligible for both military scholarships receive only the twenty percent Military Scholarship discount. Combined scholarships and tuition remission cannot exceed one hundred percent of tuition.

The Dr. John B. Wolfe Scholarship honors John B. Wolfe, DC, who founded Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1941 and served as president for forty-two years, building the institution that became Northwestern Health Sciences University. The endowed donor scholarship supports NWHSU students pursuing the chiropractic profession and is awarded competitively from donor-funded scholarship pools each start term. Applicants submit NWHSU's donor scholarship application with essays for the relevant term; incoming students must be fully accepted by the published deadline. Recipients are limited to one donor scholarship per term, and total institutional aid cannot exceed one hundred percent of tuition costs.

The Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine General Scholarship fund was created by ACM alumni to support NWHSU students training to become practitioners in acupuncture and Chinese medicine programs. It is open to incoming and current students in NWHSU acupuncture and Chinese medicine programs who apply through the competitive donor scholarship application for their start or continuing term. NWHSU evaluates applicants based on application materials and essay responses, awarding a limited number of scholarships each cycle. Recipients may receive only one donor scholarship per term, and total scholarships plus tuition remission cannot exceed one hundred percent of tuition under institutional policy.

The Stewards of Chiropractic Scholarship was established by chiropractic alumni to support incoming or current NWHSU students in the Doctor of Chiropractic program regardless of year in the program. It is open to all chiropractic students who apply through NWHSU's competitive donor-funded scholarship application for their term, submitting essays and meeting acceptance deadlines. NWHSU awards a limited number of scholarships each cycle from available donor funds. Recipients may hold only one donor scholarship per term, and the combined total of scholarships and tuition remission benefits cannot exceed one hundred percent of tuition under NWHSU financial aid policy.
