Scholarships at University of New Mexico

The Regents' Scholarship is a top institutional award for entering New Mexico resident freshmen admitted to the UNM Main campus. Recipients receive approximately fifteen thousand five hundred dollars per year covering base tuition, fees, and housing, renewable for four years. Applicants must complete the admissions and scholarship application by December 2 with a minimum 3.90 unweighted cumulative GPA or a GED scaled score of 175 or higher. Freshman Regents' Scholars must complete fifteen new credit hours with a 3.3 GPA each fall and spring semester and live in the Scholars Wing in Hokona Hall.

The Phi Theta Kappa All-State Academic Team Scholarship at the University of New Mexico provides one thousand two hundred fifty dollars per semester for up to four consecutive semesters to transfer students selected for the PTK All-State Academic Team. Applicants must apply to UNM by May 1 for fall or December 1 for spring. Recipients must complete fifteen new credit hours with a 3.0 GPA each fall and spring semester. Summer semesters are not included in the award period.

The Anne B. Thomas No Bounds Scholarship at the University of New Mexico provides three one-time eight hundred dollar awards each spring to undergraduate students with permanent disabilities. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA and be in good academic standing. The Accessibility Resource Center accepts applications during the first half of the spring semester; recipients are chosen by a selection committee based on need and a five-hundred-word personal statement. Awards are presented at the Student Activities Recognition Reception in April.
