Scholarships at University of Minnesota System

The LaVerne Noyes Scholarship honors descendants of American Army or Navy veterans of World War I whose service ended by death or honorable discharge. Undergraduate students enrolled full time at any University of Minnesota system campus may apply annually from April through the end of June using the University of Minnesota Online Scholarship Application and FAFSA. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, demonstrate financial need, and provide supporting documentation proving direct descent. Supporting documentation is kept on file for future renewal years.

The Thielen Family Scholarship Fund provides renewable scholarships to part-time juniors and seniors at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities who are employed, demonstrate financial need, and would have difficulty continuing their studies without assistance. The application opens annually from April through the end of June. Successful candidates must register for one to eleven credits during both fall and spring semesters, maintain good academic standing, be employed during the school year, and be U.S. citizens with a completed FAFSA on file.

The University of Minnesota Women's Club Scholarship supports Minnesota resident undergraduates at the Twin Cities or Rochester campus who demonstrate academic ability, leadership experience, and a breadth of skills and extracurricular activities. The application opens annually from April 1 through June 1, and students may reapply each year by completing the FAFSA and scholarship application. Successful candidates must have sophomore, junior, or senior status, register full time both fall and spring, demonstrate financial need, and maintain a minimum three point two GPA.
