Scholarships at Marquette University

Merit award for performing arts students, with preference for theatre majors entering the Diederich College of Communication. The scholarship provides $2,500 per year and is not need-based. Recipients are selected through a spring audition competition after applying for admission by February 1. High school seniors entering the college are eligible; international students are not. Renewal follows standard college scholarship policies while recipients remain communication majors in good standing. Theatre applicants must complete the department audition process, with scholarship auditions required in person on campus during the official Scholarship Audition Day.

Milwaukee-area high school seniors, especially first-generation and financially disadvantaged students with strong academics and community commitment, may be nominated for Marquette University's Urban Scholars Program. Up to 45 full-tuition scholarships are awarded annually. The award renews each year of a four-year undergraduate program with good academic standing and annual FAFSA filing. Prestigious full-ride scholarship honoring President Michael R. Lovell for top high school scholars nationwide who embody servant leadership, academic excellence, and humility. Up to four awards cover tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and food for four years. Recipients engage in high-impact co-curricular learning with a faculty mentor. Applicants must be admitted to Marquette before applying, demonstrate service and social justice commitment, and meet a preferred 3.8 GPA. Additional materials are submitted through the admitted student portal by February 1. Renewal requires good academic standing and continued participation in program requirements.

Need- and merit-based scholarship for a cohort of ten Marquette University High School students admitted to Marquette each year. Students join the Pathway during spring of sophomore year and receive extra campus contact throughout high school before enrolling. Award amounts vary; recipients must be admitted to the Pathway cohort and to Marquette with an on-time admission application by February 1.
