Scholarships at Manor College

The Judge Michael McHugh Memorial Scholarship Fund at Manor College honors the former district judge and Manor College professor Michael McHugh. The college presents this award annually to inspire students pursuing justice-related studies and to remember McHugh's impact on campus. Recipients receive five hundred dollars applied toward tuition and financial aid costs. The memorial fund is administered through Manor College and supports enrolled students who demonstrate need for assistance continuing their education at the Jenkintown campus.

New freshman or transfer students at Manor College may apply for the competitive Dr. and Mrs. Volodymyr and Lydia Bazarko partial tuition scholarship. Applicants must meet Manor's competitive partial-scholarship requirements, including a minimum B high school GPA. Preference goes to students who can demonstrate Ukrainian descent. Award amount varies. Awards cover partial freshman-year tuition and are renewable with 30 Manor credits and a 3.0 cumulative GPA. A separate scholarship application is mailed to eligible students by the Financial Aid Office. Partial tuition scholarships are competitive and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Incoming freshmen or transfer students at Manor College who meet competitive partial-scholarship requirements may be nominated for the John and Helen Malko Family Scholarship, with preference for students of Ukrainian descent and demonstrated financial need. Award amounts vary. Partial scholarships cover part of freshman-year tuition and are renewable with required credits and GPA. Eligible applicants need at least a 3.0 GPA and minimum SAT of 900. The Financial Aid Office mails applications to eligible students. The Malko Family established this scholarship in honor of John and Helen Malko in 1993.

Lourene and Jim Nevels established the Family and Friends Scholarship Fund at Manor College to support first-generation college students seeking a quality education. The endowed fund helps students who are the first in their families to attend college cover tuition and related costs at Manor's Jenkintown campus. Recipients have included continuing students working jobs while completing associate and bachelor's programs. Donations to the fund sustain multi-year support for Blue Jays building stronger futures through higher education at Manor College.

The Margaret Byrne-Green Memorial Fund at Manor College honors alumna Margie Green, class of 2011, who built a distinguished career in dental hygiene before her passing in 2023. The fund supports future students in Manor's Dental Hygiene Program, continuing Green's passion for compassionate patient care and professional excellence. Scholarship proceeds assist dental hygiene majors with program costs. Manor College established the memorial fund so Green's dedication to the field inspires and assists upcoming generations of dental hygienists trained on the Jenkintown campus.
