Scholarships at Lehigh University

Performing Arts Scholarships in Theatre at Lehigh University support incoming students of any major who demonstrate outstanding talent in theatrical performance, design, technical production, or playwriting. Recipients receive $3,000 per year, renewable for four years, while maintaining an active presence in the Department of Theatre and a 2.8 cumulative GPA. Applicants must first submit a Lehigh admission application by January 1, then email a cover letter, theatre résumé, area-specific materials such as audition monologue videos or design portfolios, and one teacher recommendation to inthscho@lehigh.edu by February 14. The department monitors continued theatre engagement annually for renewal.

The Snyder Family Marching Scholarship at Lehigh University, established by alumnus Joseph Snyder and family, recognizes incoming instrumental musicians who demonstrate musical talent and leadership and intend to perform with The Marching 97 each fall semester. Recipients receive at least $1,500 per academic year, disbursed by semester, with the award increasing annually over four years on the merit scholarships page. Snyder Scholars also receive free lessons on their primary instrument. A separate music department application is due January 5. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 GPA, remain in The Marching 97, and stay enrolled full time to renew for up to eight semesters.

The College of Health Scholars Program at Lehigh University is a competitive full-tuition scholarship and leadership pathway for students entering the College of Health who demonstrate leadership, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to improving human health. Scholars receive four years of full tuition plus a $5,000 experiential learning fund for internships, research, travel, and other approved health-related opportunities, along with cohort mentoring and career certifications. Applicants must apply to Lehigh with the College of Health as their intended college and submit the separate College of Health Scholars application by February 1. About four or five scholars are selected per incoming class.
