Scholarships at Kansas State University

The Robert E. Campbell Scholarship supports high-achieving students admitted to the K-State University Honors Program. Recipients are selected from a competitive applicant pool of domestic and international freshmen or transfer students with a best GPA of 3.5 or higher from high school or their transfer institution. Campbell Scholars live in Honors housing in the Strong Complex during their first year and are expected to engage actively in honors events and serve as ambassadors for the program. Applicants must submit the K-State admission application, Honors application, and Campbell Scholarship application by the December 15 deadline. The award provides six thousand dollars per year and renews with a 3.5 K-State GPA.

The Edgerley-Franklin Leadership Scholarship recognizes up to five incoming K-State freshmen each year who have demonstrated experience addressing community and family challenges through service and leadership. Applicants need a best high school GPA of 3.5 or above and a strong record of community service. Low-income and first-generation students are explicitly encouraged to apply. Finalists participate in leadership studies programming and an on-campus or virtual interview. Submit the K-State admission application and a supplemental application with a letter of recommendation by December 15. The freshman award is five thousand dollars and renews at the same amount for three additional years with a 3.0 K-State GPA.

The Alumni Association Wabash CannonBall Scholarship provides awards for high school seniors from select metropolitan areas who plan to attend Kansas State University. Eligible regions include the Kansas City area, Colorado, Houston, and North Texas, as listed on K-State's supplemental freshman scholarship page. Scholarship funds raised through Wabash CannonBall events are supplemented by Alumni Association and Col. Gayle Foster Scholarship contributions. After admission, students apply through the K-State Scholarship Network alongside other alumni club awards. Award amounts and recipient counts vary by year depending on funds raised through regional alumni events.
