Scholarships at Ithaca College

The Martin Luther King Scholar Program at Ithaca College supports first-year undergraduates who are academically talented, engaged in community service, and committed to social justice ideals embodied by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars participate in a four-year program merging academic coursework, leadership development, community service, civil-rights travel, and research culminating in symposium presentations. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, apply to Ithaca College, and submit the MLK Scholar Program application in IC Connect by December 1. Semi-finalists complete interviews. The award renews with full-time enrollment, continued program participation, and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 at the end of each semester.

The Ithaca College Grant is a need-based institutional grant awarded according to demonstrated merit and financial need as determined through the FAFSA for domestic students or the international aid application for international students. Full-time enrollment is required each year, and domestic students must file the FAFSA annually to remain eligible for consideration. Grant amounts vary based on individual financial circumstances and available funding. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress. The grant does not require repayment and is reevaluated each academic year based on updated financial aid application data and enrollment status.

The W.G. Egbert Grant is awarded to select Ithaca College undergraduates based on financial need as determined by Student Financial Services using FAFSA data. Full-time enrollment is required, and domestic students must file the FAFSA application annually to be considered for renewal. Grant amounts vary depending on demonstrated need and available institutional funding. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress to continue receiving the award. Like other Ithaca College grants, the Egbert Grant does not require repayment after graduation and is reevaluated each academic year when students renew their financial aid applications.
