Scholarships at Gonzaga University

The Lyle W. Moore Choral Scholarship at Gonzaga University is offered to six incoming students each year who participate in the university choral program. These merit-based awards of six thousand dollars per year for four years recognize musical excellence and academic success; recipients need not be music majors but must audition and enroll in applied lessons and a performance ensemble each semester. Applicants submit the Music Department scholarship audition application and complete a live or electronic audition by the published deadline, which is February 18 for the 2026-27 cycle. Students may begin the Gonzaga admission process before receiving an admission decision. Music scholarships are renewable up to four years and stack with other Gonzaga financial aid and merit awards.

The Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship at Gonzaga University honors full-time undergraduates in their junior or senior year, or fifth-year education studies students, who demonstrate commitment to community service, leadership, education, compassion, and Gonzaga's mission. Applicants need a cumulative Gonzaga GPA of at least 3.0, must submit the FAFSA demonstrating financial need, complete an electronic application with a personal essay, and provide two recommendation letters from mentors or supervisors by February 1. Each scholar receives five thousand dollars per year split across two semesters and is honored at an annual fall banquet hosted by the Mary Stuart Rogers Foundation. The award is renewable while funding continues and the student meets scholarship criteria, and may not cause total institutional aid to exceed tuition costs.

The Gonzaga Honors Program Scholarship provides eighteen hundred dollars per year plus a waiver of fees for excess credits to students accepted into the Gonzaga Honors Program. Admission requires a separate Honors application and electronic portfolio submitted by January 10, in addition to a complete Gonzaga University application for admission. Selection evaluates intellectual achievement, leadership, service, curiosity, creativity, commitment, and resilience; current Honors students entered with unweighted GPAs between 3.47 and 4.0 though no minimum GPA is required to apply. Test scores are optional for Honors admission. Students must remain in good Honors standing, including maintaining a cumulative 3.3 GPA at graduation and meeting annual Honors course requirements, to keep the scholarship.
