Scholarships at University of Florida

The JCPenney Retailing Fund, established in 1988, supports programs at the David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research at UF's Warrington College of Business. The fund provides ten thousand dollars per year in student scholarships awarded at the university's fall board meeting each year to retailing students. Applicants must meet Warrington undergraduate scholarship eligibility including full-time UF enrollment and submission of the college's online application with statement of purpose and recommendation. Awards are valid for one term per application cycle.

The Stamps Scholars Program at UF, founded by E. Roe and Penny Stamps, provides a six-thousand-dollar annual stipend for up to four years, four fully funded summer enrichment trips, and mentoring with UF faculty and staff. First-time-in-college students admitted to the UF Honors Program through Early Decision or Early Action receive invitations to apply for this competitive opportunity. The scholarship supports extraordinary educational experiences beyond standard merit aid. Honors Program partnership selects scholars who demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership potential.

The Daniel Sinclair Bredahl Scholarships are awarded annually to UF undergraduates based on demonstrated interest in international study, appropriateness of the chosen program to long-term goals, and financial need. Semester awards are seventeen hundred fifty dollars each; the academic year award is three thousand dollars. Students must study abroad for at least ninety days on a UF-approved program. Applicants submit the Study Abroad Scholarship Application with two recommendations, a statement of purpose, and an official UF transcript. Deadlines are February 1 for summer and March 1 for fall programs.

The Albert C. and Vanda N. O'Neill, Jr. Scholarship awards fifteen hundred dollars to full-time UF undergraduates majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a minimum college GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be enrolled for at least twelve credit hours in the fall following a spring application; transfer students need at least one UF semester completed. Students apply through the CLAS Dean's Office online application, selecting up to three eligible scholarships, and submit an essay up to 500 words on a topic announced in late January. Deadline is March 31 at 4:30 p.m.
