Scholarships at Ferris State University

The Sustainable Scalable Scholarships Opportunities Achievements Results (S3OAR) Scholarship supports entering Ferris State University freshmen pursuing bachelor's degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors within the College of Arts, Sciences and Education or College of Engineering Technology. Each recipient receives up to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. Academically talented students with financial need are encouraged to apply, especially first-generation students, ethnic minorities, women, and students with disabilities. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, nationals, or refugees, enroll full-time, complete the FAFSA, and sign up for a virtual interview.

The Jeff and Annette Rowe Joint Pharm.D./MBA Annual Scholarship supports full-time graduate students accepted into Ferris State University's combined Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration program. Up to six $6,000 scholarships are awarded each year, with at least three reserved for Michigan residents when sufficient eligible applicants apply. If fewer than three Michigan residents apply, remaining awards may go to non-resident students. The endowment honors alumni Jeff and Annette Rowe and helps reduce financial burden for pharmacy students pursuing the joint business degree at Ferris.

The Bulldog First Year Alumni Scholarship awards $1,000 for one academic year to incoming first-year undergraduate students at Ferris State University who are children or grandchildren of Ferris alumni. Applicants must be admitted to any degree-granting Ferris program, enroll full-time with at least 12 credit hours per semester, and hold a minimum 2.75 high school GPA. Students apply through ScholarshipUniverse in Ferris360 by February 28. The scholarship is non-renewable and is awarded for one academic year only.

The Ferris Emeriti Association Endowed Scholarship provides financial assistance to full-time sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate students at Ferris State University, including Kendall College of Art and Design. Recipients must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA and hold a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA at application. A minimum of five scholarships are awarded annually when funds allow, with at least one per undergraduate college. Awards are for one academic year, split equally between fall and spring semesters and credited to the student account for tuition, fees, room, board, or other education expenses.
