Scholarships at Campbell University

The J.A. Campbell Scholarship Competition honors Campbell's founding president by awarding five incoming freshmen full-tuition scholarships valued at approximately $41,000 per academic year for eight consecutive semesters. Recipients must enroll full time on the main campus, maintain good academic standing, meet residence life requirements, and continue demonstrating leadership and service. Eligible students apply to Campbell, gain admission, and submit the J.A. Campbell Scholarship Program application by December 1. Finalists attend an on-campus competition with interviews, essays, and faculty meetings in January.

The Teaching Scholars Academy Scholarship awards $8,500 per year to up to 15 Campbell University undergraduates preparing for teacher licensure who commit to serving rural and underserved North Carolina communities. Scholars major in any education program with teacher licensure and remain enrolled full time in the Professional Education Program. Applicants need a 3.5 GPA, minimum ACT 24 or SAT 1170, two recommendation letters, 25 volunteer hours, a 500-word Why I Want to Teach essay, and an interview. Applications open February 1 and close March 31 with supplemental materials due April 15.

The PGA WORKS John and Tamara Lundgren Scholars Program awards $8,000 to diverse students pursuing PGA of America membership through an accredited PGA Golf Management University Program, including Campbell University. High school seniors or current undergraduates planning full-time enrollment at Campbell's PGM program may apply. The scholarship supports students from backgrounds underrepresented in golf who intend to pursue PGA membership. The ROTC Presidential Scholarship at Campbell University covers on-campus housing and meal plan costs for Army or Air Force ROTC scholarship recipients on the main campus. Eligible students must receive a tuition-and-fees scholarship through Army ROTC or Air Force ROTC, enroll full time, and live in on-campus housing. The award covers up to Tier 2 housing and the all-access meal plan; higher-tier housing requires paying the difference. No cash value is provided for off-campus living or skipped meal plans.
