Scholarships at California State University, Long Beach

The Northrop Grumman Scholarship supports CSULB College of Engineering students through a donor endowment administered with the college's broader scholarship portfolio, which distributes nearly three hundred thousand dollars to engineering majors each year. Northrop Grumman also partners with CSULB on engineering student support programs including veteran study resources. Students apply via BeachScholarships during the spring campus scholarship window from January through March and must remain enrolled at CSULB when funds disburse.

The Norma Stoltz Chinchilla Endowed Student Award supports AB-540 eligible CSULB students and honors Dr. Chinchilla, a longtime sociology and women's studies faculty member known for immigration research and community advocacy. Currently enrolled CSULB students may receive up to two thousand five hundred dollars through this endowed award administered with the Dream Success Center. Students apply through the BeachScholarships website during the spring scholarship cycle. The award is open to students regardless of sex, race, or ethnicity who meet AB-540 eligibility requirements.

The Kevin Turner Scholarship was established by a Global Logistics Specialist program graduate and current CITT instructor to support a GLP student's career advancement and commitment to success in the trade and transportation industry. Only students enrolled in CITT's Global Logistics Professional program are eligible for this five-hundred-dollar award. Turner, an executive in commercial real estate specializing in port-sector properties, created the scholarship after seeing the sacrifices GLP students make to advance their careers. The Long Beach State Promise Award supports Long Beach College Promise-eligible students attending CSULB. The Long Beach College Promise is a partnership among Long Beach Unified School District, Long Beach City College, and CSULB to improve college preparation, access, and completion for the greater Long Beach community. Eligible students may receive up to five hundred dollars through BeachScholarships during the spring application cycle. Each partner institution provides programs that together help local students transition successfully into and through CSULB.

The 100+ Women Strong Scholarship supports undergraduate College of Engineering students at CSULB who are sophomores or higher and demonstrate a commitment to advancing women in engineering through active club involvement. Preference is given to students who attended the BEACH Women in Engineering Conference hosted by 100+ Women Strong the prior spring semester. Awards are part of the college's donor-funded scholarship pool and are applied for through BeachScholarships during the campus spring scholarship cycle from January through March.

The Ali Eshett Endowed College of Engineering Scholarship honors a longstanding CSULB engineering faculty member and supports students who have been accepted into their engineering major and are working toward degree completion. Eligible applicants must be juniors, seniors, or master's students enrolled at CSULB, demonstrate financial need, and have a professional goal in the heavy construction industry. Awards are selected through BeachScholarships during the spring campus scholarship cycle. The scholarship helps students cross the finish line to earn an undergraduate engineering degree.

Los Angeles Transportation Club scholarships at CSULB help students pursue careers in transportation and logistics through an endowment administered by the Center for International Trade and Transportation. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, career goals, professional interest in trade and transportation, financial need, and community involvement. LATC has contributed more than ninety thousand dollars to its CITT endowment supporting professional training in goods movement fields. Students apply using the CITT General Application form on a rolling basis.

The IANA Scholarship Program offered through CITT provides CSULB undergraduate or graduate students scholarships to enroll in the Global Logistics Professional program and, for selected applicants, a research stipend for CITT logistics and intermodal transportation projects. Eligible students include CSULB graduates or undergraduates, Port of Long Beach Academy of Global Logistics graduates, and Long Beach City College Maritime Center graduates with commitment to completing GLP requirements and professional interest in logistics fields.
