Scholarships for Full-Time Students

Top community college students in the United States who are sophomores by January 1 or recent graduates since spring 2022, plan to transfer full-time to a four-year college, hold at least a 3.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need may apply for the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship through the Common App. Awards provide up to $55,000 per year as last-dollar funding toward completing a bachelor's degree. The selection process is rigorous and considers academics, financial need, perseverance, leadership, and community commitment. Recipients also receive college advising, transition support, and access to internship and graduate scholarship opportunities through the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.

Incoming first-year students applying to the Georgia State University Honors College may compete for the Presidential Scholarship, a premier academic award for up to 30 exceptional scholars. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, on-campus housing, a $2,000 annual living stipend, and a one-time $2,500 study-abroad stipend. Total value is roughly $28,000 to $32,000 per year depending on residency. Applicants submit the unified Presidential/Stamps application by November 15. Finalists interview at Scholarship Day. Presidential Scholars must maintain a 3.5 GPA, full-time enrollment, and attend required Honors College events.

New first-year and continuing full-time students at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, are considered for merit-based academic scholarships based on academic achievement. Awards range up to $28,000 per year and renew with good academic standing. The number of recipients varies. No separate scholarship application is required beyond the Application for Admission and Scholarship. Academic scholarships are awarded only after an offer of admission.

Women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree may apply for AAUW International Fellowships to pursue full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States. Fellowships are awarded up to $25,000 depending on degree level. Fellows must intend to return to their home country for a professional career. Applicants must have applied to their proposed U.S. institutions by the application deadline. The program has supported international women scholars since 1917.

Full-time graduate or doctoral students in accredited programs who can complete medical and security clearance may apply for the CIA Stokes Graduate Scholarship Program. Awards provide up to $25,000 per academic year toward tuition, mandatory fees, and books, plus paid summer work tours in the Washington, D.C. area and a post-graduation service obligation. Participants complete at least one 12-week tour before graduating. Submit an expression of interest when application windows are announced on cia.gov.

Full-time undergraduates at accredited four-year U.S. colleges entering sophomore, junior, or senior year with at least a 3.2 GPA may compete in the annual FSF Case Study Scholarship by developing a discipline-specific fashion industry case study. Up to 160 awards are granted, with standard awards of $10,000 and top finalists receiving up to $25,000. Funds may be applied to tuition, intern housing, study abroad, and other educational expenses. International students with F-1 visas may participate with required CPT documentation. Submit through the FSF application portal.

U.S. high school seniors and college students diagnosed with an eligible chronic inflammatory disease who plan full-time enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school may apply through Scholarship America. Up to 45 awards are available, with up to $20,000 for bachelor's and graduate recipients and $10,000 for associate-degree recipients. Submit the online application with diagnosis documentation, a transcript, a personal statement on how your disease has shaped your aspirations, and a recommendation letter. The scholarship aims to ease the financial burden for students pursuing degrees while managing inflammatory disease.

Spouses and dependent children of Georgia public safety officers or public school employees who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty may qualify. School employees must have been victims of on-campus violence. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible permanent residents and Georgia legal residents for at least 12 months. Grants cover the cost of attendance minus other financial aid, up to $18,000 per award year, with a lifetime maximum of $72,000. Recipients must enroll full-time at an eligible Georgia college, university, or technical college. Apply each academic year through GAfutures. Awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are available.

U.S. citizen high school seniors with a minimum SAT score of 1500 on a single test administration (no super-scoring) may apply for one of ten Daniel G. Calugar Foundation Academic Achievement Merit Scholarships. Applicants must plan full-time enrollment at a U.S. college or university. Each award is $15,000 applied toward tuition at the recipient's chosen institution. Funds are paid directly to the college. Email application materials to Scholarship@DanCalugarFoundation.org after applications open September 1. Include career objectives, an essay on U.S. federal debt trends, and your SAT score report. Selected students must provide a college admission letter so funds can be forwarded.

California college sophomores or juniors who have completed at least one year of college and will not graduate before June may apply for Donald A. Strauss Scholarships by proposing an innovative student-generated public service project. Up to 15 recipients each receive $15,000 to fund their project. Submit application materials including a project proposal, budget, timeline, personal essay, transcript, and two letters of recommendation by February 9. Selected recipients attend a mandatory meeting and serve as Strauss Ambassadors on campus. The foundation, established in 1997, promotes public service in preparing future leaders.
