Scholarships at Laurentian University

Laurentian University full-time first-year students from Chapleau, Ontario in any program may apply (or from Northeastern Ontario if there is no qualified Chapleau applicant). Applicants need a minimum 80% average in six Ontario U/M secondary courses, community involvement, and financial need. Two awards of $2,500 each. Renewable in later years with acceptable academic standing, and may be held with other university financial aid. An entrance awards application is required.

First-year Laurentian University undergraduates who are residents of Greater Sudbury may apply. Candidates must have shown the greatest improvement in secondary school academic standing, contributed to school or community life, and demonstrated financial need. One award with a variable value (roughly 5% of the endowment) is granted annually. Applicants must submit an application and provide a teacher or guidance counsellor reference by email.

The Perkins & Will Canada Indigenous Architecture Excellence Award — one of the awards funded by Laurentian University for Indigenous students, administered through Indspire's Building Brighter Futures Bursaries & Scholarships portal. Award amounts vary by sponsoring fund and are not published as a fixed figure on the Indspire listing. Apply once through Indspire's Building Brighter Futures portal. One complete application is considered for every applicable bursary and scholarship. Consideration rounds close August 1, November 1, and February 1 at 11:59 p.m. EST each academic year; a complete application carries forward across rounds until February 1.
