University of Guelph students with a minimum 75% average registered in any degree program in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences who demonstrate financial need may apply for the Barbara A. Bowen Scholarship. One $5,500 award is granted. Submit a Financial Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7.

University of Guelph students registered in any program offered by the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences with demonstrated financial need, who meet the government-mandated terms for an OTSS award, may receive this $5,000 bursary. One award is available. Preference is given to female students registered in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition. Apply through University of Guelph student financial awards processes by October 7.

Full-time Master of Arts or doctoral students in the University of Ottawa Department of Criminology who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected/refugee-status holders, or international students and intend to advance criminal justice reform, social justice, or social change through their studies may apply. One scholarship of $3,500. Apply through Online Scholarships and Bursaries in uoZone with a CV and transcript by November 3. The Ross Hastings Memorial Scholarship supports Criminology graduate students whose work aims at justice reform and social change.

Students in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies majoring in political science, criminology, or law and society who have completed at least 24 and no more than 60 credits with a cumulative GPA of 7.00 or higher may qualify. Applicants must demonstrate community involvement in the Jane-Finch, Oakwood, or Regent Park communities. Preference is given to students with black African or Afro-Caribbean heritage. One $2,000 memorial scholarship is awarded.

Upper-year Windsor Law students registered in an upper-year criminal law course, with demonstrated financial need and academic merit. One scholarship of $2,000. Apply online through the UWinAward Profile. Established in 2005 by the Criminal Lawyers' Association of Ontario.

University of Guelph students registered in a College of Social and Applied Human Sciences program with a minimum 70% cumulative average who meet OSOTF terms may receive Yeandle Family Scholarships. Several awards of up to $2,000 are made on financial need and academic achievement. Submit a Financial Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services by October 7 for automatic consideration. Provided by the Estate of Audrey Yeandle with Ontario OSOTF matching.

Dependents of OPSEU/SEFPO members in good standing who are enrolled in a Police Foundations course or a Law and Security/Corrections course at a publicly funded Ontario college or university may apply. The scholarship awards $1,000 annually to one recipient. Submit an application through the union's scholarship program by the posted deadline. The award honours Brother Larry Cripps, a correctional officer and long-time union activist who died in 2004. OPSEU/SEFPO's executive board approved this annual fund to support members' dependants pursuing careers in policing, corrections, and related public safety fields.

Open to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student of Black African descent in any year of study in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor. Selection is based on academic merit (minimum entering average of 75%, or in-course minimum cumulative average of 73%). One award of $1,000. Apply online.

For a continuing full-time student enrolled in the Police and Investigations (Police Studies) program at MacEwan University who demonstrates financial need. One $500 bursary is available. Apply by the January 15 deadline.

Third- or fourth-year Criminology students in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa who are Ontario residents (per OSAP), demonstrate financial need, hold a minimum CGPA of 7.0, and show extracurricular involvement may apply. Criminology Undergraduate Students Association executive committee members are ineligible. Two awards of at least $500 each are granted. Apply through uoZone with the Financial Questionnaire and a CV; applications are due November 3.
