About this scholarship

Certified divers enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate academic program or accredited field work focused on undersea exploration, marine conservation, hyperbaric medical research, or diving equipment technology may apply.

One recipient receives a $6,000 scholarship plus a $500 travel voucher to attend the Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, awarded annually by the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences.

Submit a resume, a 500-word essay on career goals, two letters of recommendation, and photocopies of diving certification cards by mail.

The award encourages future generations of divers to carry on Zale Parry's legacy in ocean exploration.
