About this scholarship
Middle school and high school students who are residents of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C. with a 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA may apply.
Three scholarships of $3,000 each are awarded to students engaged in philanthropic work through YouthCon's "Act with Impact" program. High school seniors must plan to enroll full time in college.
Complete the YouthCon Scholarship application and attend the YouthCon Award Ceremony if selected. Apply by January 18.

- Essay in MLA format, 500–750 words
- Must be a middle or high school student living in the DMV region (DC, Maryland, Virginia)
- Two-step process: Google form submission followed by essay submission
- Essay must be in proper MLA format with a word count of 500-750 words
- No personal identification (name, grade, school) in essay content (anonymous judging)
- Document title format: Last Name, First Name 2026 YouthCon Scholarship Essay
- Essay deadline: January 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM
- Must attend in-person oral presentation round (February 2026) if qualified
- Winners must attend the 2026 AASuccess Gala in early August and participate in summer activities; first place winner must conduct their project and present results at the gala
- Essays checked for plagiarism and AI usage
- Complete the Google form submission followed by essay submission.
- Essay must not contain personal identification for anonymous judging.
- Qualified applicants must attend the in-person oral presentation round.
- Selected winners must attend the YouthCon Award Ceremony/AASuccess Gala and participate in required summer activities.
