About this scholarship

Full-time Indigenous graduate or undergraduate students in any program or Faculty at the University of Waterloo may apply if they participate in actions, demonstrations, conferences, or forums on social or environmental research and justice (including virtual events) and demonstrate financial need to attend. Preference goes to students active in the Indigenous campus community.

United College gives three awards valued at up to $3,000 annually. Deadlines are October 15, February 15, and June 15.

Applicants submit a brief budgeted explanation (500 words maximum) and a letter of support from another student active in the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre (WISC).

The award continues WPIRG's legacy of advocacy and allyship with Indigenous students.
