WMU Medallion Scholarship Program

Incoming first-year students at Western Michigan University are considered for the Medallion Scholarship through a competitive, holistic review of the admissions application. No separate scholarship form is required. Scholars are selected for outstanding high school academics, leadership, and community commitment.

Up to 20 Medallion Scholars are chosen each year. The package includes up to $16,000 per year for four years for tuition and fees, standard double-occupancy room costs for four years, and a one-time engagement award of up to $3,000 for study abroad or research.

Up to 60 semifinalists are invited to interview; semifinalists are typically notified in February.
