About this scholarship
The Winton U. Solberg Scholarship honors Professor Winton Solberg and supports promising University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign undergraduate History majors studying American history. The scholarship provides four thousand dollars to students who have completed at least one year of coursework at the university, have at least one year remaining in their undergraduate program, and have not received the award in a previous year. Recipients are selected by the History Department from declared majors with strong records in American history coursework. The department announces recipients annually and publishes past winners on the scholarship page.
