The Winnie McAnelly-Fiedler Memorial Scholarship honors a pioneering Texas history teacher and supports Tarleton State University students majoring in history. First preference goes to history majors from Mineral Wells, Gustine, or Brady high schools. Incoming freshmen need SAT 1000 (1080 new SAT) or ACT 22, a B high school GPA, top one-third class rank, 15 enrolled hours, and a declared history major. Current undergraduates need a 3.0 cumulative GPA, 15 hours, and history major status. Graduate history students may qualify with GRE 1000, 3.0 undergraduate GPA, 3.5 history GPA, and 12 graduate hours.
