About this scholarship
University of Waterloo undergraduates in second, third, or fourth year in the Faculty of Arts or Faculty of Environment who take an unpaid or minimally paid work term or field placement with a not-for-profit organization providing social services locally, nationally, or abroad. Minimum 75% overall average; selection weighs academic achievement and the nature of the placement. Preference goes to students with prior extracurricular or volunteer service to others.
One or more awards valued at up to $1,500.
Apply through Student Awards and Financial Aid by March 15 for upcoming Spring or Fall experiences. Recipients write a short letter after returning describing how the experience benefited them and the organization.
