About this scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver students entering from senior secondary school with outstanding academic ability. Preference is given to graduates of B.C. School District #8 (Kootenay Lake), and financial circumstances of candidates are considered.

The $1,300 entrance scholarship is adjudicated by Enrolment Services under Presidential Scholars Awards. No separate application is required.

The endowment honors William F. and Catherine M. Tyers, long-time residents of Kaslo, established by their children.
