Willard W. Piepenburg Award

York University undergraduate history majors in Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (Keele Campus) may receive this scholarship, selected by the Department of History for academic merit and financial need. Recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons and residents of Ontario who demonstrate financial need. The amount varies.

No separate award application is required beyond completing the student financial profile for faculty consideration.

The award honours Professor Emeritus Willard W. Piepenburg, who taught for 40 years at the University of Toronto and York University and was the first Tudor-Stuart specialist in York's History Department.
