Westmin Resources Limited – Dr G M Furnival Scholarship

Students in the second or higher year of UBC Mining and Mineral Process Engineering (with specialization in Mining Engineering) or Geological Engineering (with specialization in Mining Geology) who demonstrate both scholarship and interest in the mining industry.

A $1,550 scholarship. The award normally alternates between the two departments.

No separate student application. Recommendation is made by the Head of the Department of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering or the Director of Geological Engineering.

The scholarship was endowed by Westmin Resources Limited to honour Dr. G. M. Furnival's contributions to the mineral industry.
