About this scholarship
Competitive merit-based tuition discount for first-time incoming freshmen and transfer students from WUE-eligible states who enroll in an undergraduate degree on the UM Mountain Campus. For 2026-27 the discount equals $21,120 off out-of-state tuition and fees. Your admission application serves as the WUE application; apply by January 15 with a current high school transcript for automatic consideration. Minimum GPA is 3.0 for freshmen and 3.5 for transfers. Not all qualified applicants receive the award. Renewable up to four years with 3.0 cumulative GPA, 15 credits per semester, and continuous enrollment. Cannot be combined with UMAAS or other non-resident entering awards.
