About this scholarship
Competitive annual scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa members transferring to WCU resident-credit programs. WCU commits one hundred one-thousand-dollar awards each year, paid five hundred dollars per fall and spring semester, with at least one scholarship designated for each active North Carolina community college PTK chapter when eligible students enroll. Applicants need a minimum 3.50 cumulative higher-education GPA, must apply for transfer admission by April 1, and submit the separate PTK scholarship application by April 15. Priority goes to associate-degree completers with strong credit hours and GPA. Renewal for a second year depends on funding, enrollment of new PTK students, and maintaining a 3.0 WCU GPA with twelve completed hours per term.
