Western Grains Research Foundation (WGRF)

Entering or continuing full-time master's or doctoral students in a thesis-based program at the University of Lethbridge may apply if their research aligns with Western Grains Research Foundation priority areas posted on the WGRF website. WGRF funds research in variety development and crop production across western Canadian field crops.

The award is $15,000.

Apply online through the Graduate Application in the University of Lethbridge awards portal, including research title and proposal, two academic reference letters, transcripts, CV, and a statement on how your research aligns with WGRF priorities.

WGRF supports research capacity and training of personnel who can move into research or other roles affecting western Canadian crop production.
