About this scholarship
Washburn University School of Law participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act that funds tuition expenses exceeding in-state rates at public institutions. Washburn Law offers unlimited Yellow Ribbon assistance to veterans who qualify under VA guidelines, covering costs above the in-state tuition and fees cap for eligible Post-9/11 GI Bill recipients. Active duty service members, veterans with honorable discharge, spouses, and dependents may also qualify for in-state tuition at Washburn Law under separate residency policies. Veterans should confirm eligibility through the VA and coordinate certification with Washburn's Financial Aid Office using school code 001949. This institutional match can provide up to full tuition for qualifying J.D. students.
