About this scholarship
For UBC Vancouver students in Urban Studies. Three scholarships are awarded: one of $1,700 for a doctoral student and two of $850 each for outstanding undergraduates.
Selection is made on the recommendation of the Department of Geography; the graduate scholarship also involves consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
The scholarships were endowed by the family of Dr. Walter G. Hardwick, one of North America's leading urban geographers.
