About this scholarship
NCAA graduating senior student-athletes with a 3.50 or higher GPA who competed at the varsity level and plan full-time accredited graduate study may be nominated.
Two recipients are selected each year, one male and one female. Each receives $24,000 per year, renewable for a second year of graduate study.
Nomination is required from the institution's Faculty Athletics Representative. The Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement and potential for success in graduate study.
