About this scholarship
Incoming first-year Virginia Commonwealth University students who submit the Common Application and an official high school transcript by November 1 are automatically considered for the VCU Presidential Scholarship. Recipients are selected on academic merit; leadership, community service, and artistic talent may also be considered.
The four-year award covers tuition and fees as well as room and board (room allowance equal to an Honors College residence hall room; board equivalent to the 250 Block plus $225 Dining Dollars meal plan). Merit awards cover in-state costs. Renewable for up to three consecutive years with a 3.3 cumulative GPA and at least 28 credit hours on a full-time basis over fall and spring.
