About this scholarship
The Val and Bill Tillett Scholarship provides one thousand dollars to Northern Virginia Community College students pursuing a degree in the Horticulture Technology or Landscape Design Specialization programs. The fund was created by NVCC horticulture alumni Val and Bill Tillett, generational Loudoun County farmers, and is administered by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties. Priority goes to Loudoun County residents with financial need, though students from Prince William, Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington may also apply. Both full-time and part-time NOVA horticulture students may apply through the foundation's universal application, and selected recipients may reapply for a second consecutive year with at least a 2.5 GPA.
