High school seniors, community college students, or undergraduates who reside in the Utom River Watershed in southern California may apply for one of ten $2,000 Utom Conservation Fund scholarships. Applicants should show a passion for environmental conservation; tribal members, including those from unrecognized tribes, receive special consideration.
Submit a short essay of 500 words or less on your passion for the environment and the watershed, a letter of reference confirming enrollment, and optionally a one-minute unlisted YouTube video. The fund is managed by groups dedicated to protecting the Utom River and its watershed.

Two scholarships go to full-time predoctoral dental students at accredited U.S. or Canadian schools who have finished at least one year, demonstrate interest in advanced education, and are committed to academic dental careers. ADEA individual membership is required; U.S. and Canadian applicants are eligible. Each recipient receives $5,500. Awards are announced at the ADEA Annual Session; 2025 recipients are listed on the program page. Apply online via MyADEA by September 15 each year (applications typically open mid to late July). Materials include a personal statement, two faculty nomination/evaluation letters, a dean recommendation, and transcripts. Funded by Haleon and ADEA to reward excellence in preventive dentistry education.
