About this scholarship
First-time freshmen admitted to the University of North Texas for the fall term immediately after high school graduation are automatically considered for tiered UNT Excellence Scholarships. No separate scholarship application is required.
Annual awards range up to $12,000 based on high school class rank and unweighted GPA. Submitted SAT or ACT scores may improve eligibility but are not required. Students must take at least 12 UNT hours each fall and spring and be admitted by the March 1 priority deadline. Awards renew up to four years with a 3.0 UNT GPA.
Eligible students who submit qualifying SAT or ACT scores by July 1 may earn an additional $1,000 annual bonus.
