About this scholarship
Members of the UNK Teacher Scholars learning community in the College of Education receive at minimum a one thousand dollar housing waiver and one thousand dollars in additional College of Education scholarships. The program emphasizes first-generation students committed to teaching in rural or diverse metropolitan schools. High school seniors admitted for the 2026-2027 academic year may apply with a 3.5 GPA, a 22+ ACT or 1140+ SAT, or top 25% class rank. Applicants complete both the Admitted Incoming Freshman Scholarship Application and the Teacher Scholars application in MyBLUE by March 1. Additional teacher education scholarships totaling twenty-four thousand dollars are available to qualified applicants through the general freshman application.
