Residents of any state except Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin who are admitted as freshmen to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities are automatically considered for the National Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible under the Minnesota Dream Act.
Tiered awards range from $2,500 to $20,000 per year for four years, based on a holistic review of academic preparation, achievements, leadership, community service, and personal background.
Submit a complete freshman admission application by the Early Action (November 1) or Regular (January 1) deadline. Recipients are notified by the end of March.
