About this scholarship

Minnesota residents or students eligible for the Minnesota Dream Act who are admitted as freshmen to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities are automatically considered for the Iron Range Scholarship.

This highly competitive award provides merit scholarship support ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per year for four years. Most awardees rank in the top 10% of their graduating class.

No separate application is required. Submit a complete freshman admission application by the corresponding deadline. Recipients are notified by the end of March of their senior year.
