About this scholarship
Incoming freshmen admitted to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities are automatically considered for the Gold Scholar Award, a university-wide merit scholarship. Preference goes to National Merit Finalists who list UMN Twin Cities as their first-choice college by the NMSC deadline.
Recipients receive up to $10,000 per year for four years.
No separate scholarship form is required. Full consideration requires a complete freshman admission application submitted by the corresponding deadline.
