Michigan resident incoming LSA freshmen at the University of Michigan with high academic achievement, leadership, and interest in public service may be nominated for the Alvin M. and Arvella D. Bentley Scholarship.
Six to eight nominees are invited to campus to interview; two recipients are selected annually. Each receives $15,000 per year, renewable for four consecutive years of undergraduate study in LSA.
Only nominated students are contacted. There is no separate application; nominees are drawn from the pool of first-year admits.
