University of Manitoba students with documented financial need. Undergraduate students must register and complete at least 60 percent of a full course load over the regular academic session with registration in both Fall and Winter terms. Graduate students must be registered full time with the Faculty of Graduate Studies over Fall and Winter. Continuing students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; new high school entrants need a grade 12 average of 70 percent or higher. International students in their first year of post-secondary study in Canada are not eligible.
Award amounts vary. Selections go out in early December and funds are applied to Winter Term fees.
Submit the General Bursary application through the Financial Aid and Awards card in Aurora, with supporting documentation, by October 1. Students with government student aid from other provinces must provide a current official loan assessment; Manitoba Student Aid recipients do not.
