About this scholarship
The UIS Star Scholar Award provides merit scholarships of up to seven thousand dollars per year to new first-year undergraduates at the University of Illinois Springfield. Awards are offered automatically upon admission based on unweighted high school grade point average; a separate scholarship application is not required for this program. Recipients must enroll in a degree-seeking on-campus program rather than a one hundred percent online program, which is generally ineligible for UIS merit awards. Combined UIS scholarships may not exceed tuition and mandatory fees under institutional policy. The scholarship renews on a rolling basis subject to satisfactory academic progress.
